    Overview

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Finance Assistant. We are looking for a highly motivated individual willing to work either full-remote or onsite in a small but fast-growing company to contribute to the success of our company.

    The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various financial operations. We are looking for a hands-on individual, willing to support customers on AP/AR, updating QuickBooks Online and to work with the teams closely on financial spending on projects. The candidate should be willing to support with additional activities such as purchasing and supplier communication.

    Duties

    • Attend weekly management meeting and prepare accounting updates.

    • Prepare and maintain financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

    • Assist in budgeting processes, including the preparation of budget proposals and monitoring expenditures.

    • Perform bookkeeping, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

    • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to ensure all accounts are accurately reflected.

    • Support payroll processing by verifying employee hours and ensuring timely payments.

    • Carry out account analysis to identify discrepancies and assist in resolving issues.

    • Utilize QBO or similar accounting software for data entry and financial reporting.

    • Ensuring QBO is correctly configured for correct tracking of projects costs.

    • Organize audits when needed and provide necessary documentation.

    • Manage AR/AP: Daily Monitoring of Accounting Emails. Actively communication with customers and suppliers on accounting matters.

    • Continually track and manage financial spending on projects and evaluate profitability.

    • Compliance with City, State, and Federal Requirements

    Requirements

    • Highly motivated and dedicated.

    • Proven experience in financial report writing and accounting practices.

    • Strong understanding of budgeting principles and bookkeeping.

    • Familiarity with journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, payroll processing, and account analysis.

    • Experience with QBO or similar accounting software is preferred but not mandatory.

    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.

    • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual responsibilities.
