Position Summary: Woodruff Engineering works with national laboratories, fusion energy startups, and advanced R&D teams around the world. Woodruff Engineering supports national labs and fusion startups with custom hardware and R&D builds. We are looking for an intern who enjoys working with their hands, learning new tools, and helping build real engineering systems. No prior experience required, just curiosity and a strong work ethic.
What You’ll Do
- Help build and test mechanical and electrical systems.
- Use hand tools and basic lab equipment.
- Support engineers and technicians with assembly and organization.
- Learn how to read simple drawings and follow instructions.
- Ask questions and learn new skills on the job.
What We’re Looking For
- Interest in mechanical, electrical, or hands-on work.
- Reliable, willing to learn, and comfortable in a shop or lab setting.
- Some experience using tools (in school, home, or job) is helpful but not required.
